Kevin Stouwie is a Texas Parole Attorney, but it is also appropriate to say he is a Dallas Parole Attorney. Many of his clients' families reside in the Dallas area, and the crimes which led to incarceration often took place in Dallas County or one of the neighboring counties. Since Kevin travels throughout the state and meets and interviews all of his clients. these travels regularly take him to prisons in North Texas, East Texas, West Texas, and South Texas.
Each year, approximately 10,000 people in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are sentenced to a prison sentence to be served at one of over one hundred prisons scattered throughout the enormous Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Corrections Division. As one would expect, prisoners generally do not get to select the prison in which they will reside during their incarceration period. Thus, prisoners who are from the Dallas area can be found all over the state's prison system.
Every single person's story is different. In many cases, the details of a specific person's life story could matter a great deal when that person is up for parole consideration. Unfortunately, however, it is virtually impossible for the 21 voters at the Texas Parole Board to know the most important details, especially the ones that are not contained in a police offense report. There is a very limited amount of time devoted to each file, and with the age of electronic files no upon us, it is hard to imagine that the voters a the Texas Parole Board are going to be digging through electronic file folders trying to gain a comprehensive understanding of all of the facts and information that is favorable about a particular inmate, especially when there are literally hundreds of other electronic files that must be reviewed weekly in each of the seven board offices throughout the state.
That's where we come in.
Kevin's knowledge and skills have been developed during a lifetime of learning and education, both inside and outside of the classrooms and the courtrooms, Yet, Kevin truly believes that learning never really ends, and he leans something interesting and valuable every single day. Additionally, Kevin has now interviewed over 900 people incarcerated in Texas prisons, and he has represented people from, all walks of life, with clients convicted of almost every different felony one can possibly imagine. Kevin's advocacy and breadth of experience becomes an invaluable asset to the inmates and their families who hire him. Kevin fully understands that people are almost always deserving of another chance, and what they really need is a voice, a strong, credible, and persuasive voice, to help make sure every single parole opportunity is maximized.
